Survey Party Chief

Position Overview:
The Survey Party Chief is responsible for leading and managing field survey crews during projects, ensuring the collection of accurate survey data and the successful completion of fieldwork. The role requires strong leadership skills, technical surveying expertise, and the ability to work under varied environmental conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct the activities of the survey party crew.

  • Conduct field surveys as per project specifications.

  • Ensure the accuracy and validity of collected data.

  • Maintain equipment and manage field data.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

  • Prepare and submit field notes, sketches, checklists, and digital data in required formats.

  • Train and mentor junior staff and assistant chiefs.


Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Geomatics or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of field survey experience.

  • Proficiency with survey equipment (GPS, total stations, etc.).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.

Geomatics Technician

Position Overview:
The Geomatics Technician supports various geospatial and surveying projects by operating sophisticated surveying instruments and processing survey data. The technician works under the guidance of the Survey Party Chief and Project Manager to achieve high-quality survey results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain geomatics instruments and equipment.

  • Assist in the collection and analysis of geospatial data.

  • Process and manage data to produce maps, plans, and reports.

  • Support field crews with technical issues and data management.

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and project specifications.


Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Geomatics Engineering Technology or a related field.

  • Experience with geospatial software and surveying instruments.

  • Good technical and mathematical abilities.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Project Manager

Position Overview:
The Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and closing of surveying projects. This role ensures projects meet quality standards, are delivered on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.

  • Coordinate with clients, team members, and external contractors.

  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed.

  • Ensure project compliance with legal and quality standards.

Qualifications:

Assistant Survey Party Chief

Position Overview:
The Assistant Survey Party Chief supports the Survey Party Chief in managing field operations and ensuring the accurate execution of surveys.

  • Assist the Party Chief in leading field operations.

  • Help in managing the daily setup and operation of survey equipment.

  • Support data collection and ensure precision in measurements.

  • Aid in training and guiding field crew members.

  • Assist with documentation and the preparation of survey data.


Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Geomatics or equivalent field experience.

  • Familiarity with survey equipment and data collection techniques.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a team.

  • Good communication skills and a detail-oriented approach.

Drafter

Position Overview:
The Drafter converts survey data into precise technical drawings and detailed plans, supporting the visualization and execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and revise technical drawings and plans from survey data.

  • Collaborate with surveyors and engineers to understand project needs.

  • Ensure drawings comply with industry and project-specific standards.

  • Maintain and organize all draft documentation.

  • Assist with the development of drafting standards and procedures.


Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in drafting, engineering design, or a related field.

  • Proficiency with CAD software and drafting techniques.

  • Strong understanding of engineering and surveying principles.

Calculator

Position Overview:
The Calculator is responsible for processing and analyzing survey data, performing calculations for the determination of land boundaries, and preparing reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret field data.

  • Perform complex calculations for land boundary determination.

  • Prepare reports and documentation of calculation results.

  • Work closely with surveyors and project managers to meet project requirements.

  • Ensure quality control of all calculations and data.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Mathematics, Geomatics, or a related field.

  • Experience in survey data analysis and calculation.

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency with relevant software, including CAD and GIS applications.
